Dr. Michael Salvador is a seasoned materials scientist and solar energy innovator with over 15 years of experience in R&D. As the CEO and co-founder of Mirai Solar, he has led the company from a research concept into a pioneering venture in photovoltaic shading and agrivoltaics. Under his leadership, Mirai Solar has built manufacturing capabilities, launched global pilot projects, and secured over $2million in funding. Michael is an inventor on multiple patents and is recognized for his expertise in photovoltaic technology. He is committed to advancing sustainable solar innovation.

Dr. Emmanuel Van Kerschaver

CTO

Emmanuel is responsible for daily operations and for developing high-throughput manufacturing processes and product certification. Emmanuel brings 25 years of experience in photovoltaic technology research, development and manufacturing. He draws on a track record of success in maturing new solar energy technologies and products from R&D concepts into high-volume manufacturing with companies like Meyer Berger, Siva Power, First Solar, Hanwha Q-Cells and Solexel.

Dr. Michele DeBastiani

Director of R&D

Co-Founder and Director of R&D at Mirai Solar, leads the company’s technical innovation and product development efforts. With over 10 years of experience in solar energy research, he has contributed to multiple breakthrough technologies and is the author of seven patent applications. Michele brings deep expertise in materials science and photovoltaics, driving the development of Mirai’s lightweight, high-performance solar solutions for emerging applications in agrivoltaics and structural PV.
